"Everyday Hunter" Wins Award

Warren Times Observer columnist Steve Sorensen (left) recently won the Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association 2006 award in the category of “Best Newspaper Column.” The award is sponsored by Winchester-Olin Corporation. Sorensen’s column is called “The Everyday Hunter” and appears bi-weekly in the Warren Times Observer. Presenting the award at the POWA spring conference in State College on May 20 is Mike Capps (right), of Howard Communications, Winchester’s public relations firm. The award-winning piece was published on December 24, 2005, and was entitled "Good-Bye To a Family Friend."
